Simple, honest Greek food for the everyday man. My goodness that rizzoni with veal was amazing. Packed with flavour with every bite. So was the braised calamari. Do yourself a favor - come early before things run out. Note to self: Take away from Tzivras would go down real well for a road trip and lunch at a secluded beach.

Best restaurant we visited whilst in Kefalonia! Authentic Greek food, great price, friendly english-speaking staff and relaxed atmosphere. We visited twice and tried most things on the menu and everything was exceptional! Great options for vegetarians as well. Highly recommend!

No view. No music. No burgers or pizza. Just the best and most authentic local food we've found in three weeks. With the most pleasant and helpful staff too. Thank you for a lovely lunch and for renewing our faith in local cooking. What's not to like?

Love this local cafe in centre of Argostoli! A little gem if you want traditional food & relaxed lunches! Homemade tasty dishes don’t miss it if you are around the harbour call in for a snack or lunch! Eat inn or takeaway too!

Very good down to earth "workers" restaurant. We had lunch, god was on display and you pick the dishes you want. Good variety of tasty food.

Tzivras in Argostoli is a hidden gem for authentic Greek home-cooked meals. The flavors here are simply outstanding. Unassuming and a bit light on decor, this place will surprise with incredibly good food. The moussaka in particular was excellent, made with prime ingredients. Service is attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend.

This place is an example of simple things done very well. It has been our favourite restaurant in Argostoli since we stumbled upon it in May 2017. We have made sure to eat here at least once on our trips to Kefalonia, wherever we might be staying.
This time, we actually stayed in Argostoli, so we were able to visit on multiple occasions. It never disappoints and is still full of locals more than tourists. We also took advantage of their takeaways this time, as our apartment had a microwave and an oven. Great quality and huge portions. It remains my favourite restaurant in Argostoli, but my wife has had her head turned by another restaurant. A new discovery competing for our trade, but more of that on their review. Tzivras is the real deal. The brothers(?) running it are friendly and attentive, but also ensure that their locals are never left wanting. Daily dishes are all on display and always look and smell great. They close by 6pm, so lunch only, but it is well worth the visit. We visited in April 2025.- Εξυπηρέτηση

Absolutely love this place. Always seek it out when we visit. Excellent food. Brilliant staff. We always order a mixture of food from the counter. Sometimes, our eyes are bigger than our bellys or we forget to ask for half portions. Still the best place to eat on the island after visiting many times. Photos are a selection of food we have eaten there over our trip. Definitely worth a visit. You will not be disappointed.
